I-TECH (in collaboration with the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention) promotes activities that increase human capacity for providing HIV/AIDS clinical care and support through the development of training systems that are locally-determined, optimally resourced, highly responsive, and self-sustaining in countries and regions hardest hit by the AIDS epidemic.
1. HIV/AIDS Nurse Trainer Position (Full time – negotiable)
Primary duties: To develop the expansion of a continuing education and training program for nurses including advanced training in women’s HIV/AIDS health care; To develop curriculum, training materials, and TOT modules, and adapt to other regional contexts, and update as needed; To conduct in country trainings targeting nurses, community health workers, and other multidisciplinary staff to enhance HIV/AIDS care and treatment.
Candidates with a combination of medical/ nursing expertise, training experience, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in both English and Telugu, to collaborate with us on training programs on a part time basis.
3. Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator (Full time)
Primary duties: To develop and revise needs assessment/evaluation tools (pre/post tests, daily/overall course evaluation forms, checklists, etc) for training and technical assistance programs; Coordinate data collection across all training programs and entry into I-TECH database and generate reports based on data.
Qualifications: An advanced health degree (MPH, MSW, etc.); Experience with data entry and analysis, development of surveys; Strong written and oral presentation skills.
Primary duties: Welcome and assist visitors; Operate the main switchboard, receive/ transmit calls/messages; Assist administrative staff; Assist in typing various documents; Assist in maintaining an events calendar; Assist in logistical aspects of large national level training programs.
Qualifications: Graduate in any discipline (Secretarial Diploma desirable); Have knowledge/interest in HIV/AIDS; Good interpersonal skills.
5. Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator (Full time)
Primary duties: Implement, and evaluate trainings; Assist in the development of curricula and training materials; Identify and recruit resource persons for the training programs; Organize large national level trainings and follow-up with participants from all over India; Support Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) activities for I-TECH training activities.
Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in coordination of health-related training; Strong interpersonal, diplomatic skills, ability to manage multiple stakeholders; Demonstrated experience in the supervision of staff.
All Positions:
Requirements: Indian nationals; Strong English skills (Tamil and Telugu language skills strongly desirable); Experience with MS Office; Interest in HIV/AIDS.
Location and Hours: I-TECH Chennai, with some training related travel. Monday-Friday, 9-5 (hours may be longer on days that trainings take place). Some Saturdays with advance notice.
Duration: One-year contract with possible extension based on performance evaluation.
Salary: Salary according to qualifications and experience.
