Position 1: Technical Officer Enhance/SAMARTH (JOB CODE:

Locations: Chennai & Hyderabad (1 position each)
Travel: Primarily in the USAID-focus states.
Duration: Five years (annual renewable contract)
Project Description: Enhance-SAMARTH, a USAID-funded Technical Assistance project, is being implemented in USAID-focus states of India in partnership with FHI, INP+ and CMAI. The project aims to improve the effectiveness of the response of the government and civil society for evidence-based HIV policy and programs in India.
Qualifications, Experience and Skill set:
1. Post graduate in social sciences/ natural sciences or its equivalent with a minimum of 3 years experience in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support, and/or treatment.
2. Experience in training, program implementation and management/ coordination, and documentation.
3. Experience collaborating and networking across multiple sectors
such as government NGOs, CBOs, and Positive Networks.
4. Proficiency in MS-Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), internet usage.
5. Strong oral and written communication skills in English, ability to plan and
organize, work in teams, willingness to travel.
6. Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills desirable.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Extends technical assistance and capacity building to the District AIDS
Advisory Committees.
* Develops/adapts training curricula and tools for leadership training.
* Coordinates trainings, workshops, consultative meetings and leadership trainings for government and civil society organizations.
* Documents best practices in HIV prevention, care and treatment of
government and civil-society organizations.
Remuneration is competitive and will be commensurate with skill-set, and experience.
