Job details In the year 2003, the founder of KNP+ Mr. K.Radhakrishnan, is
covered his positive status while he was in the industrial field.

He started attending support group meetings organized by other PLHAs,
later motivated to work on a part time basis as a counselor for
INP+. Other PLHA leaders for Tamil Nadu to start a district level
network at this hometown, which is Kancheepuram district, inspired
him. Thus, started with 17 members and now the member ship have
reached 610.

Within a span of three years they were able to initiate
three care and support projects [TNFCC, ACT and C&T project funded
by TANSACS, INP+ and APAC] that provided varied services to PLHA
within the district.

We need a full capable and experienced person in NGO field for APAC
Care & Treatment Project.


Project Coordinator – Full time:
Essential qualification:
·Post graduation preferably with Social work.· Should have worked
with NGOs.
·He/She should have good leadership and communication skills to lead
a team.
·Experience in HIV/AIDS care& support project is desirable.

Preference/added qualification:
·Computer skills.
·Understanding about the district.
·Understanding about Financial procedures.
·Experience in working among PLHA/Networks is desirable.


Counselor – Full time:
Essential qualification:
·Master degree in social work/sociology/social sciences.
Preference/added qualification:
·Computer skills.
·Familiar with core group population.
·Good attitude towards target community.
·Aptitude in counseling.


Health Nurse – Full time(Out Reach Worker):
Essential qualification:
·Diploma in Nursing.
·Diploma in ANM.
·Minimum 1 year experience in working with NGO or hospital setting.
Preference/added qualification:
·Very good attitude to provide clinical care.
·Women will be given preference.


Lab Technicians – Full time:
Essential qualification:
·DMLT from recognized institute.
Preference/added qualification:
·Preference will be given for lab technicians with prior experience
working in VCTC.
·Willing to travel as a part of mobile VCTC.

Part time Physicians:
Essential qualification:
·MBBS from a recognized Medical University.

Preference/added qualification:
·Preference will be given for Doctors practicing in the same
locality.
·Having a positive attitude towards clinical care of STI/HIV
patients.
·Willingness to participate in training programs and exposure
visits proposed by APAC.
·Prior experience working in NGO sector will be an added advantage.
·Willing to work for 3 hours a day at the drop in centers.
·Willing to accompany the HBC team for providing Home Based Care for
PLHA.


Accountant cum computer operator – Full time:
Essential qualification:
·B.Com
·He/She is an administrative person – deals with all the
correspondence, reporting, account maintenance, stock maintenance
and office maintenance.

Preference/added qualification:
·Computer skills.
·Data entry and Data Management.
·Knowledge in financial & accounting procedures.


Other points for consideration for all position:
·Willing to travel within the project area.
·Willing to participate in the training programs and other meetings
organized by APAC/related institutions.
·Willing to work in odd hours.
·Ability to produce results.
·Willing to work with the target community.
·Maintaining confidentiality.
·Willing to accept transfer from place to place within the project
area.
·Willing to execute any additional responsibilities assigned during
the course of the project period.
·Willing to accept the basic guidelines of the NGOs/APAC-VHS, USAID
& NACO.

·Willing to work for the entire lifetime of the project or at least
minimum two years.
