The Health Commission of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) in collaboration with Caritas India and Constella Futures is setting up community care centres (CCC) in the states of Gujarat, West Bengal, Orissa, Chattisgarh and Bihar with a Grant from The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. CBCI-HC is currently recruiting for the following positions based at the Project Management Unit at New Delhi.
1. Technical Officer
Tasks and Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance on various aspects of care and support of PLHIV as per the revised CCC guidelines
Develop, plan and coordinate the capacity building plan of the project
Develop appropriate tools and methodology for developing the capacity of the partners.
Develop appropriate tools and methodology for providing care and support at the CCC
Coordinate with other stakeholders including NACO/SACS, ART centre, ICTC and other NGOs
Provide back stopping to the Program Manager.
Desired Profile
Should have at least a master's degree in social work or other social
sciences. Progressively sound technical understanding of the HIV epidemic, specifically care and support program. Should possess 2-3 years of experience in coordinating multi-location projects on HIV or health related.
Should have excellent interpersonal and communications skills. Should be able to lead and motivate others, consultative and collaborative approach, ability to work and achieve results in challenging environment, adaptability and ability to cope with change, and, ability to turn challenges into opportunities.
2. Administrative Assistant
Tasks and Responsibilities
* Perform all the front office functions needed for the effective
functioning of the Project Management Unit.
* Provide secretarial and programmatic assistance to the Project
Director and Program Manager
* Handle travel bookings, accommodation arrangements and other
logistical matters of staff on travel.
* Assist in organizing meetings, conferences, training programmes
etc
* Fix appointments and receive official guests
* Oversee the housekeeping of the office.
Desired Profile
Preferably, a graduate. 2-3 years of work experience in the similar field.
Basic knowledge of income tax and laws governing societies. Skills in
working with MS Office, fluency in English and local language. Ability to perform multiple functions and work under time pressure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational skills
