Job details Job Vacancy: Project Manager. Workplace intervention

A) The agency
Maitri is a non-profit organization working in the areas of advocacy
and social awareness of HIV/AIDS, women's empowerment, and child
development. Maitri focuses much of its efforts on the extremely 'at -
risk' populations vulnerable to infection of HIV/AIDS such as women
and children, and uniformed personnel and their families.
Maitri is in the process of developing and implementing a workplace
intervention program to reduce HIV vulnerability and mitigate the
impact among the construction workers in several work sites in New
Delhi and near by states.

B) The Job
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Project Manager to
implement a workplace intervention intervention project to reduce HIV
vulnerability and mitigate it's impact among the construction
workers.

C) Job description.
To mange a workplace intervention to reduce HIV vulnerability and
mitigate it's impact among the construction workers in the Capital
region and surrounding areas.

D) Task Description
To manage a workplace intervention to reduce HIV vulnerability and
mitigate its impact among the construction workers in the Capital
region and surrounding areas.
To implement as base line survey on the KAPB of the construction
workforce in selected areas
To mange the base line data including data analysis
To manage a small team of HIV educators and counsellors
To develop a detailed project work plan and work logistics
To develop appropriate IEC materials
To monitor the project progress and prepare monthly, quarterly and
annual reports
To develop project proposals and submit to appropriate agencies
To conduct a detailed stake holder analysis and prepare timely
reports
To establish working relationship with key stake holders, including
construction site managers and site supervisors
Report and write news stories for publication, describing the
background and details of the project
Research and analyze background information related to the project in
order to be able to provide complete and accurate information.

Write commentaries, or reviews that interpret HIV/AIDS related work
place issues or offer opinions.

E) Desired Skills and Knowledge Description

Knowledge about methods and strategic of HIV response
Knowledge about social determinants and consequences of HIV infection

Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such
as word processing, managing files and records, designing survey
research forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Knowledge of group behaviour and dynamics, societal trends and
influences, human migrations, ethnicity, cultures and their history
and origins
Skilled in HIV program management

Job Location: New Delhi with occasional travel to near by states
Salary: In relation to the experience
Hours/Week: 8 hrs. 5 DW
Education: MA, MSW
